BOA ticket

A few days ago I purchased an internal flight, La Paz to Sucre, from BOA's web site and I immediately got my electronic ticket in my email box. It also showed up on my online credit card statement. When I checked my credit card statement this morning, I found that it is no longer showing on my balance. There is no proof of a transaction anywhere on my credit card.

Does that mean I have to pay for it once I arrive at the airport? I experienced something similar like this when buying internal…

Two questions;

  • Has anyone up to date info on Villa Tunari? I am in CCB right now and would like to visit but have been told the roads are closed due to works? But for how long??
  • To ask this question we have been looking for the office of Fremen Tours on Tumusla in Cochabamba. But there was nothing and the phone number doesn't work

Any quick info and time ticks, would be much appreciated.

Ciao!

We are in La Paz at te moment. We went to Copacabana before coming to La Paz (and Peru before that).
We still have 15 days left. We want to do a 4 day Uyuni tour. What's the best place to start this tour? From La Paz, Uyuni, Sucre, potosi or tupiza? We heard good things about starting the tour in Tupiza. So take the bus from La Paz to Tupiza and arrange the the tour there. Would that be a good idea?

After the Uyuni tour we want to go to Sucre, Potosi and we're flying back from Santa Cruz.

My…

Hi all,

I've found that most people are afraid or just don't know how to book bus tickets in Bolivia, so I hope this information helps:

you have two alternatives,
1) buying tickets directly in the bus terminals
-> is quite simple, although the services are not the best ones, but the buses (specially routes between main cities) are quite confortables.

2) booking online
-> if you want o book online there is ticketsbolivia.com, you just need a credit card or a paypal account to buy a ticket

I will be arriving from Dulles via Bogota, at 3:45 in the morning on Avianca. Approximately how long will it take to get through customs and immigration?

I will be booking an onward flight to Sucre for 8 AM on BOA, is there anything open to get something to eat or coffee at that time in the morning? I will have plenty of time to kill....

Hello!

I would like to make a two week trip to La Paz, and I will be flying in from a city that is nearly at sea level elevation.

I am concerned that the altitude change might be too much too handle. I understand that it will take a few days to acclimatize, and that I will probably experience "normal" altitude sickness initially.

But how long will these symptoms last? Will it ruin my trip? Should I reconsider visiting a different city?

Thanks in advance!
