I've been asked every time I return to Australia from South America and Africa.

I got a yellow fever vaccination tin Delhi a few years ago for $3 or $4. What a bargain!
Never was asked for it though in Bolivia or anywhere else.

I never did hear back from the Bolivian Embassy in DC after sending out six emails, one voice mail and eventually having an actual phone conversation with a gentlemen who works there. But they got there $160 out of me, why should they be concerned, right?
I did call the travel clinic and told them my story. After informing me that the Embassy is not allowed to keep an international piece of paper (as if, they care) I had to go back to the clinic and they gave me another copy of the Yellow Fever certificate with the official stamp for $10.
Just want to add, TripAdvisor swears up and down that you no longer need the Yellow Fever vaccination?? The CDC has it listed on their web site as NO longer a requirement for Bolivia, as of September 2013. Our US government travel site still says that it IS required.
Another traveler on here told me that he was asked to show his certificate when he was in Bolivia, last year. There are so many conflicting reports out there, I just wanted one less thing to worry about and no complications of any kind to get back into the States.
Got everything I need now, all systems are go. Thanks everyone for all your concern and advice!
