Which online hotel reservation in LaPaz for Bolivia visa?

I would like to have an online hotel booking for our arrival day in La Paz to satisfy the Bolivia Visa requirements for US Citizens. I am aware that most people are not asked, but it is safer to have it. We normally like to walk around and find a location and room that we like instead of booking ahead. Any recommendations on an online hotel booking with generous cancellation policy?

I used the email confirming a room from hotel sagarnaga at customs--they asked for it. Did not pay in advance but stayed there twice while in Bolivia vey friendly and convenient.

You could probably just make a reservation on booking.com (**one that has free cancellation up to 24-hrs. before check-in), print out the confirmation, and then cancel it. I really can't imagine the immigration officials actually calling any hotel to confirm reservation.
