hi

i've read in some places bout a train crossing the argentinaina broder at yacuiba and travelling to santa cruz, but cant find any further information on it. just wondering whether anyone can tellme if it still runs? and if so how reliable it is? thanks a mil

There is not such a train.

Hi... I was at Santa Cruz station yesterday and they told me it runs from Villamontes to Santa Cruz Tues and Thurs at 3.30pm - would leave from Yacuiba a couple of hours before this, I guess.
Haven´t taken it myself, so no idea about reliability.

Bus is more comfortable and reliable than the train on this route. Book a ticket with a good bus company (ask locals), and you'll be fine.

the train does not run across the border but runs to the border. the timetables and tariffs are here: http://www.ferroviariaoriental.com/<BR><BR>I know many peace core guys who catch the train to yacuiba or from regularly and they have no complaints
