Trying to make a decision on a trek to do in Bolivia. Hoping to get suggestions from those with Bolivia trekking experience. We'd prefer to use a trekking company to figure out all the details and logistics. We fly into Santa Cruz and out of La Paz. ( The details in between is pretty wide open at this point) I'm thinking approximately 4 day excursions would work with our timeline, but am flexible.
Looking forward to doing a little on foot exploration. Thanks in advance!

Are you thinking of trekking in the high mountains or in the jungle? Obviously there are specialist outfitters for each zone. I never got around to much more than day hikes in the cordillera, but I highly recommend Etno-Ecotourismo Mashaquipe for jungle/montane forest treks in and around Madidi national park. They have a variety of standard treks available (like a 10-day trip exclusively geared toward spotting jaguars in the remote regions of the park) but also offer custom itineraries according to your interests.

Is it right now ? It's not the season at all for the High Andes.

hello Smiles,

I would suggest the Inca's roads, which are perfect for your available time.

I know two:
- El Choro: 3 days walking. You start in La Cumbre, which are 4600 meters above the level of the seel, snowed montains, and you arrive in Coroico (Los Yungas), 1500 m.s.n.m., a tropical town.
You will have amazing views, just google it.
- Taquesi, 2 days walking. Quite similar but a different destination, you arrive in Yanacachi.

hope it can help taking your decision...

cheers
