I'd like to prebook our Jungle/Pampas tour in Rurrenabaque from Melbourne as we have limited time (we are in La Paz for only one day prior to wanting to go to Rurre). Does anyone have e-mail contact details for Indigena Tours and Deep Rainforest Tours? I can only find a phone number. Thanks.

we had the same problems most of the tours have websites with no contact details but you wont have no problem getting on one for the next day the one we went on was bala tours highly reccommend it was brillaint the guides were all english speaking and the food was good and plentiful just hope it helps

www.indigenatours.com

pampas 3 days 2 nights only 50 usd with them, good value tours.
BALA tours also good, but at top end of the scale for 130 USD
Hi,
I would just book on arrival, there is no problem, you can leave the next day.
Depending on the season, DO take potential plane delays into account, and travel with Amaszonas and not TAM: TAM cancels much more flights than Amaszonas, because their heavier plane cannot land on a wet grass runway.
For the Jungle I would really recommend Bala Tours, but they are expensive.
For the Pampa I would NOT recommend Bala Tours, they are expensive and there, they do not offer better.
I met many people really satisfied with Indigenous. Many people were not that satisfied from Anaconda Tours and from Deep Rain Forest, but there I only tell you what I heard.
If you want more information about the region, we wrote a lot on our website (we were there 3 weeks ago): www.oneyearoff.net

Cheers
Gilles

The url www.deep-rainforest.com doesn't seem to work any more. According to 'Who is' records the registrant of this domain has an address in La Paz. Deep Rainforest Tours have been mentioned here at the Thorn Tree, and you can search for "Deep Rainforest" (with quotation marks).
A supplement to #3, the answer from GillesB:
About flights to Rurrenabaque: Yes, DO have a flexible itinerary. Here at the Thorn Tree you can search for: +flight Rurrenabaque
Instead of Rurre the airlines could use the airport in the nearby town Reyes (32 kilometres and one hour by bus at north east), but they seldom do so. (Línea Aérea Amaszonas do not have scheduled flights to Reyes, and have no office or representatives there).
More about Amaszonas Airline at Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amaszonas
(Don't trust the online booking at amaszonas.com).
In theory you could fly from La Paz to San Borja, possibly via Trinidad (referring to www.amaszonas.com). And then hope for a bus from San Borja to Rurre (via Yucumo). You can find good online map sheets of Bolivia at www.mirabolivia.com/mapas (Four different types).
San Borja and Yucumo is shown at the road map sheet www.mirabolivia.com/mapa_muestra.php?id_mapa=12
The bus rides San Borja - Rurrenabaque are said to last five to eight hours.
About Jungle tours from Rurre: Another option for a tour operator in the Madidi National Park is the San Miguel del Bala Eco-Tourism www.sanmigueldelbala.com. The San Miguel del Bala Eco-Lodge is owned and operated by the Tacana community San Miguel.
