I've travelled southern Peru and Bolivia for five weeks, whereof only a week in Bolivia.
I felt like I'd missed at lot. I went only to La Paz and did the Salar de Uyuni tour. I missed Sucre and Potosi.
Where should I go, and where should I start next time? I'd like to se more of eastern Bolivia (and eastern Peru).

Mission area (Jesuit missions) in Sta Cruz department and Samaipata (very diverse mountain area). Good infopages are www.andorinasamaipata.com, www.samaipata.info and www.municipiosamaipata.com

I spent a month in Bolivia and would go straight back for another visit!
I recommend you climb a mountain - I spent three of the best days ever climbing Huyani potosi. The trip was only cost $135 US for all equipment, guides, food and accomodation. The other people I climbed with were great and we joked and laughed our way up for three days. I added a tip for the guide at the end. The best photos from my trip come from climbing the mountain.
The view at the top of the mountian is like nothing you have ever seen, so beautiful.
Hi,
we planed 4 weeks in Bolivia but will stay here 7. I would recommend:
Rurrenabaque: Jungle & Pampa tour
Biking down Death Road (amazing) and staying a little in Coroico
Sucre & the area
Potosi
Tupiza and its surroundings (amazing)
Lake Titicaca & Isla del Sol
Well, that is a lot ! You can check our Website: www.OneYearOff.net, we have lots of information about these destinations.
Cheers
