Hello! My friends and I will be traveling from La Paz to Arica in March, and we were wondering if anyone had any information on the times the buses leave from La Paz. We arrive early in the morning from Miami, and we're trying to see if we can get a bus that same morning to Arica. If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello
There are buses in the very early AM and in the evening. But I must wonder why you would want to bypass the beauty of LP and Bolivia for Arica? To Each their own. The trip is very cold wear warm clothes estimated time 10 hrs. Show up at LP bus terminal and they will get you there just listen for the ARICA ARICA...VIVA SA

I think you are asking for trouble going from Miami to LaPaz to Aica in 24 hours. Miami sea level, LaPaz 12,500 feet, mountain pass to Arica 16,500 feet You are guaranteed to have a problem with soroche [altitude sickness] in such a short time frame and that can be deadly!
There are flights to Iqueque from La Paz which you could catch after arrival at LaPaz same day. Then bus north to Arica arriving that evening. Please donot become a statistic by doing what you are thinking.

doubt it you wou;d make it - most busses to Arica leave between 6 am to 7 am (some might leave later) - driving time is 7-8 hrs - but as schmuck pointed out - you will be for more than four hours higher than 13,000 feet - high point of the road at Lago Chungara is 4566 m/15000 ft - better fly to Iquique if you are in such a hurry
