I would apreciate any contact to an independent and reliable jungle guide living/working in or near Rurrenbaque who could go for a longer jungle tour (up to 2-3 weeks) with 2 people (my wife and I). We are looking for something more ¨adventorous¨ than a typical jungle tour, going to some remote jungle place, maybe building a raft to go down the river... something more challenging. It would be perfect if the guide was a local that knows the jungle since being a kid, maybe even a person who grew up in an indigenous comunity, actually that would be perfect.
We would like to pay no more than 25-30 usd for a day for both of us, I know it is not a lot but we just can´t afford to spend more, especially if we are thinking about doing sth longer than 10 days... therefore I skip checking out tourist agencies, but maybe I am wrong? And if You don`t want to publish a contact to such a person on the internet for any reason, this is my email: stencelmarcin@gmail.com. I might exchange such an info for another valuable contact for a very good independent jungle guide in Peru.

A similar question was asked in the thread I want to visit the Kaa-Iya del Gran Chaco NP and Maididi, 22-Nov-2009. ("Maididi" is a misspelling of Madidi). I refer to my replies there (reply # 3 and 5).
A recent thread about ecolodges and tours from Rurre/Rurrenabaque: Some questions for our Bolivia experts, 07-Mar-2010. (Reply # 3).
The websites corazonvisits.com and sanluisgrande.com may also be of interest. Regrettably I do not have additional information about the village of San Luis Grande. But try an internet search for: "San Luis Grande" Rurre
(with quotation marks as shown).
Among the results: amazonfund.eu/potable_water_bo.html
You are welcome back here with further questions about the Rurre area.
And it would be great, if you could come back here in the Bolivia forum and tell about your further investigations, and after your travel about the experiences.
