A few days ago I purchased an internal flight, La Paz to Sucre, from BOA's web site and I immediately got my electronic ticket in my email box. It also showed up on my online credit card statement. When I checked my credit card statement this morning, I found that it is no longer showing on my balance. There is no proof of a transaction anywhere on my credit card.

Does that mean I have to pay for it once I arrive at the airport? I experienced something similar like this when buying internal flights in Peru. I am hoping this is the case here.

Perhaps you should double check with BOA that your eticket is indeed issued to you? If something happened - who knows what - that reversed your credit card transaction, it may have affected the status of your flight booking. I can't imagine an eticket being valid without being paid for.

Thanks, I sent them an email. I did run a search under reservations on BOA's web site using their ticket locator and found my reservation. It still appears to be valid.

I will wait and see if I hear back from them, if all else fails and I find I have no reservation when I arrive at the airport at 3:45 in the morning, hopefully I will still have plenty of time to buy another ticket to Sucre that morning...at least that is my theory?

What time do the domestic flight counters open? Anybody know?

the BOA checking counter should pretty much be open 24/7. Id have to say it would be very unlikely there would still be non booked spaces on a BOA flight on the same day - they often/usually sell out. Best chance would be someone not turning up for their flight Id say.

Not sure how good BOA are at answering emails to the general public but you might also want to ask your credit card company to see if they can shed any light on what happened.

Thanks. I called my credit card company and the guy I spoke to said the transaction did go through, for some reason it is still showing as pending on Chase's side... he said it should show up in a couple of days on my statement.

A bit odd, but as long as I can get that flight, that's all that matters.

maybe your bank has queried it simply because it is a payment to Bolivia (which is considered high risk country for credit cards).

What is even weirder is that the Amazonas flight I purchased immediately after I bought the BOA flight went through without a hitch and it appears on my statement.

Maybe when you called your credit card company and explained before they put a flag on the system regarding you visiting bolivia making payments works with being queried. Im just guessing it could also just be "one of those things"

Yay! The BOA transaction is now showing once again on my credit card statement. Looks like I have that flight after all.
