Hello travellers!

I am currently staying in downtown Buenos Aires. I am a lone female traveler and would like to find someone to explore the city with. The cemetery, walking tours, museums, restaurants, etc. I'll be here for another week and a half, message me on here if you'd like to meet up!

I am currently in Argentina and want to buy one (or two) deep-cycle batteries for our vehicle. An Argentinian friend is saying "Buy in Chile, it's half the price there" but I can find no solid information that enables me to compare. My understanding was that Chile is, in general, substantially more expensive than Argentina, but now I'm shocked by prices (of food, for example) in Argentina and don't know what to expect in Chile regarding consumer items.

Any advice, please?

Hey everybody,

Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on going to Tigre or Colonia (in Uruguay) as a day trip from Buenos Aires. Is one preferable over the other? Is it worth going to both?

Thanks!

What are the dentists like in Argentina? I am in Bolivia at the moment. Trying to make up my mind whether to see a dentist here or wait till Argentina. Would it be much more expensive in Argentina even taking into account I'd be able to use the blue dollar?

Thanks.

2 issues for travel planning this month in Argentina:

  1. There will be a 4 day weekend from Saturday March 21 to Tuesday , March 24. High use of middle and long distance public transport. Accomodation could well be full in certain areas, so consider booking ahead.

  2. There will be a 24 hour country wide transport strike for ALL forms of public transport on March 31. Buses may not be leaving on the afternoon of March 30.

hello, I need help getting an advance ticket yo Teatro Colon. I want to see a ballet and I will arrive on the last day of the performance. I am in Thailand now and the theaters web site will not allow an online booking due to lack of updated Adobe flash. I called my hotel who said they would send a name of a booking agency but have not responded. I am hoping someone knows of an agency I cal call. I realize there will be a fee. Thanks so much for any information.

We will have approx. 12-14 days in Argentina (haven't booked flights yet) and will likely be travelling as a group of approx. 8 of us (1/2 the group is ages 20s/30s and 1/2 60s). We are planning to fly in and meet in Buenos Aires and be there for the first couple days and then are…
