Hey everyone,

I'll be leaving on a 3 week to month long trip to Buenos Aires, arriving late july and returning mid august. I've heard the temperature is fairly mild year round, but would appreciate more info on what to expect.

Will it rain the whole time i'm there or be too humid?? Is it going to be too cold??? Will the weather allow me to have a good time at all?

Thanks to all for any help and info.

HAPPY TRAVELING!

I know this is a tough question. EVERY country requires common sense. EVERY country can have a random tragedy happen to someone. I know this, but I'm trying to get a sense that if you use common sense, don't go out alone, avoid "bad" neighborhoods, but still try to live and have fun at night..... What countries do you think are the safest and what countries are more likely to still have crime (pety theft, pickpocket) or violence happen to you?

I have only been to three countries in South America…

Hola,

I am considering going to Tierra Santa Park at Easter (with two kids). Is it going to be packed? Is is closed on Easter Sunday? The address is Avenida Rafael Obligado 5790. Is that far from the center of BA? Is that an OK neighborhood? Thank you so much for any help.

Planning on catching the overnighter from Buenos Aires up to Iguassu, and would also like to see San Ignacio Mini before heading straight on to Salta.
So, i think the bus arrives about mid morning, should i be spending that day on the Arg side or the Brazilian side? Is it really worth seeing the Brazil side, and can i def do this without a visa?
I'd like to get to Salta as quickly as possible, anyone know how regular buses are down to Posadas (i assume i have to go here to get to San Ignacio…

Extra time...

I am flying to Lima from Santiago, Chile on the 10th of April. Right now (March 26th) I am in Bariloche, Argentina, and am trying to figure out the next couple of weeks of traveling before my flight. Originally I wasn't going to be here at all, and thus don't really have anything planned.

I have already been to Buenos Aires and the Penninsula Valdez area. I am not very interested in going further south into Patagonia, as winter is quickly coming on and I am not much of a cold weather person. I…

I've been reading through the various posts on here regarding hostels/hotels in Buenos Aires but I haven't quite seen the answer to my question.

I'm a solo traveller (male, 33) and I'm planning to spend a week or so in Buenos Aires at the beginning of a two-three month trip that will take me up to Peru.

I'm looking for a moderately priced hostel or hotel in a cool part of town (think Williamsburg or Silverlake/Echo Park or the Haight if you're familiar with NYC, LA or SF) where I have a good…

Hi - I am travelling to Buenos Aires next Monday. Staying there, going up to Mendoza, following my nose for bit, heading back down to Esteros de Ibera, and then on to Iguazu.

What I'd like to know is whether it's possible to cross into Brazil at Iguazu. I gather there are different charms to both sides of the Falls. I'd like to see both, stay a couple of days, and then head north to Sao Paulo. Does anyone have any tips/advice for how to negotiate this?

Also, if there are any tango dancers…

We will be in Puerto Iguazu in December and want to book somewhere family friendly. Hotel Saint George looks a bit posh and sterile for us but I like the idea of TV, swimming pool, jacuzzi etc. Does anyone know of anywhere a bit more authentic but still with some comforts - a nice garden or swimming to amuse our 4 year old at points in the day.

Hi.
Trying to figure out wether to go from Mendoza to Santiago and then by plane to Buenos Aires (since I've already got the plane ticket), or rather just go overland from Mendoza. How long does the busride from Mendoza to Buenos Aires take, and what's the price? Any suggestions on places to stop on the way?

Thanks, G:)
