Hola
I will be travelling from Buenos Aires to Rio in september. Does anyone know of a good guidebook which caters for both of these countries? Or will i need to buy an individual book for each country?
Cheers
Hi
If someone real nice is flying down to Buenos Aires, from the USA, I'd have a small request;)...
My friend here is desperate for a couple of beauty products that are available only in the US!! back there, in any shop, they cost only a few bucks, but here in Argentina, no way we can find'em!:(
...so, if some US traveler could buy them for us, before taking the plane, I'll meet him/her in Buenos Aires anyday, buy these beauty items back, and of course, buy him/her a drink and fine meal, plus…
Does anyone have information about "La Rural"/La Exposicion Rural, the Buenos Aires livestock fair which is taking place this year from July 26 to August 7? I'm arriving in BsAs the morning of August 6 and I want to know if all the "good stuff" will be over by the last two days of the fair. I'm particularly interested in seeing some displays of riding and maybe some horse judging. If on the other hand all the exhibitors have packed up by the afternoon of August 6/August 7, I might not bother…
Hello,
Does anyone know if it´s possible to do some trekking around Aconcágua ( I have no intention to climb it) in September?
Thanks!
Can anyone offer any help with regard to choosing an affordable, yet calm, quiet and comfortable, hotel/b&b in Buenos Aires? We are looking in the area of Palermo. I've narrowed my search down to the La Otra Orilla, the Casa Jardin, and the La Casa Fitzroy. A very tempting, yet much more expensive option would be the Five Rooms. Has anyone visited any of these....or are there better options?
Thanks!
Is it fairly straightforward to get from the Argentine side of the falls to Asuncion in the same day? Are there lots of buses from Ciudad del Este to Asuncion or do I need to leave Puerto Igauazu early in the morning?
Thanks.
Jon
Hi,
Anyone know of any places that can do mountain bike repairs in or around San Telmo, Buenos Aires?
Thanks,
Greg
Hello
My friend and I are flying from London to Rio (as this is the only place we can go to on a half RTW ticket) and then flying out of BsAs to Panama 2 weeks later. I have been doing a bit of research and think we have a choice of 2 ways:
1) Via Iguazu Falls to Posada, Esteros del Ibera, Mercedes and down to Buenos Aires.
2) Follow the coast to Sao Paulo and to Montevideo and get the ferry to BsAs.
I know it depends what we like etc, but just wondering what are other people's thoughts? We're 2…
hola, I,ve planned flying to BA soon and travel up to bolivia and I was wondering if its a really bad idea because of the cold, I heard this winter is especially cold..I think BA might be chilly but up north it gets better doesnt it? And whats really worth going to, except for mendoza and salta? I will be travelling alone and will meet my friend in bolivia, want to spend some time in nature, relax and see some beautiful parts of argentina ya muchas gracias !!!
Hi all,
Many thanks for all the great advice I got on getting from Puerto Igauzu to Esteros del Iberra. I am pretty sure that is going to be our route heading down towards Buenos Aires. I'm not traveling alone on this trip though, and I've been asked to have an alternative ready in case money or time issues don't allow us to visit the Reserve.
If we can't visit Esteros del Ibera this time, the other option I was looking at was to head to Rosario from Igauzu. From the info in the Lonely Planet…
