Does anyone have any idea the best way to do this, do I have to go to BA or is there a direct bus? I know it will take a long time about 30 hours maybe?

So if anyone can post bus/plane times/prices that would be great, thanks.

Hola all

I´ve read about the Poncho festival in Catamarca, in July, and want to know if anyone can tell me about it? If I was to spend 2 days in Catamarca in the beginning of the festival is that recommended? Any info appreciated!

Muchas gracias

G'day,

I'm planning to go trekking in Patagonia ... I especially want to do the Torres del Paine trek, but I don't want to miss out on some others. I know December/January is the holiday season so it's gonna be busy. Does anyone know whether I should bring my own tent in the national parks or if it's possible to get a bed in a hostel or posada?

Thanks so much!

Hi
I have booked flights to El Calafate on 23rd Dec, and back on the 3rd Jan. A friend and I are hoping to get in as much hiking as possible. Do we join a group, go solo, do a mix? Any recommended companies or routes?
And what 'tog' of gear will we need - I know it's their summer, but not sure what that means for camping. Anyone suggest any particularly fabulous spots for Christmas and New years celebrations?
Thanks.

Hello,

I am planning to spend a day or two next week in the Andes near Mendoza. I am trying to decide between two ways of seeing the region: hiking around Puente del Inca or cross-country skiing at Los Penitentes. I am wondering if anyone has an opinion on which is the better option for seeing the scenery given the weather during mid-June.

Thanks very much!

Julia

Hi,

I was just wondering where is the best place to sit on an overnight bus - on the bottom level or on the top level of the bus - where would be the most comfortable and where would you get the most sleep?

Thanks

Thanks for all the info. It has been very helpful in planning my trip. I am curious about the bus transportation and if it is physically feasible to make that sorta loop via bus transportation in 11/12 days time from BA>Iguazu>Cordoba>Mendoza>BA . How long does take to get from BA to Iguazu and then from Iguazu to Cordoba and then from Cordoba to Mendoza and then from Mendoza to BA. Would anyone be able to recommend any reliable bus companies that make these routes? Would it make…

I've been wanting to trek in Patagonia for ages, but only have a total of 9 days to get from New York to Patagonia and back. I am planning on going in the middle of December.

Is this possible/adviseable?
Any ideas for itineraries?
What airport should I fly into?
Should I rent a car?
Other random advice?

Thanks!
Nina
