I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with Andes Air (their website is http://www.andesonline.com/). I am interested in flying with them from Buenos Aires to Salta in August, but I haven't been able to find much information about them on the internet. Any info at all would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi all! I'm a Canadian writing in to know if fellow foreigners are running into the same problem as I am. I live in Bahía Blanca and cannot withdraw amounts of money larger than AR$ 350 (pesos) at a time from any bank machine, regardless of the bank (Nación, Galicia, Boston, etc). This limit which did not exist before came into effect about 3 months ago (1 month ago at Banco de la Nación). Just curious if anyone knew a good place to find Havaiana flip flops in Buenos Aires... tried to get some in Foz do Iguacu this past weekend but we were in the city on Sunday and just about everywhere appeared to be closed... oops. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Can anyone suggest a cheap and reasonably quiet hotel or hostal (private room -- no dorm, please) in Buenos Aires that's reasonably close to the bus station for Mendoza and Santiago? I'm on my way to Chile but, due to getting a cheapish flight to BA, I am going to be barreling through there and need a night to sleep off some of my jet lag and make bus reservations.

What are people's top five things to do/see in and near Cordoba?

My boyfriend and I need fresh air and are planning a one-week getaway to Cordoba and the surrounding area. We're also trying to decide if its better for us to stay in a hostel within Córdoba or in a hostel within a surrounding town like Valle Hermoso. Anybody been there?

Hi,

Can anyone offer some advice on getting from Ushuaia to Punta Aranas. I am guessing that the bus would be the best option but if anyone can point me in the direction of bus company websites/ timetables, give me an indication of cost and time to get there (I'm guessing 12 hrs?)

Is it worth stopping in Punta Aranas, or should I just carry on through to Pto Natales?

Also are there options in terms of quality, can you pay bit extra and get a more comfortable bus?

I will be travelling with 3 other friends in January 08. We are flying in and out of Trelew and we have 3 full days there. We want to see the Valdes Peninsula and the Punta Tombo whilst we are there. I've heard mixed reports about the day tours which are offered out of Puerto Madryn, and many have suggested that hiring a car might be a better option. I'd love some advice on this issue:
1. better to stay in Puerto Madryn? If so where
2. anyone recommend good tours

next December we will spend 8/10 days in Patagonia, doing trekking in those wonderful places. We haven't yet planned things to do and places to visit. We arrive in BA and then we have to book flights to the South. If somebody has already done trekking there and would like to give us suggestions and ideas for this trekking, we will be more than happy to welcome them!
