I had my bag stolen in BUENOS AIRES (it happens should have looked after it better) with fugi camera and flash drive/stick with all my south america photo on it . I have about a week or 1.5 weeks to travel around Argentina in mid August.
I would really like to visit Iguazu and the Jujuy area.
I will be starting in Bs. As.

1. How much time is reasonable for enjoying these places?

Does anybody know if you need to book an organised ski-holiday for catedral or if it is OK to just arrive in Bariloche and take a bus to the resort each day? How long is the transit time and how much does it cost? Is it better to stay at the resort? Any ideas?

Hi anyone who knows about the argentine tertiary educational system or locals. I was in BA for just less than 2 monthes for tango. I am interested in doin a MA in Buenos Aires and wonder what postgradute tuition fee is like for foreign students and i know that it is free for argentines as far as the public university education is concerned. My background is sociology and spanish and i am interested in doing a MA in Journalism.

Hi! Does anyone know of a bank in Buenos Aires that will give a cash advance for either a visa or mastercard? I have tried several (Link and Banelco) and even CitiBank, which issued my card, but none can give cash advances (adelanto). Does anyone know? Or is there a secret bank that lets you withdrawl more than $100 usd a day? Thanks so much!

like to know if there are any ferries from Buenos Aires to Montevideo (or preferably direct to Piriapolis) on a Saturday morning (about 11hrs) in February 2008. We will be arriving from Europe in the early morning and would like to proceed directly to Uruguay that same day.
