I will travel to Argentina to visit the Chalten, Calafate and Buenos Aires.
My itinerary is:
Nov 6. We arrived to Calafate from BA in the evening.Transfer from Calafate to Chalten.
Nov 7 -12. El Chalten. I like trekking and the photography.
Nov 12 - 13 El Calafate. Perito Moreno. Big Ice
Nov 14 - 16 Buenos Aires.

Myself and my girlfriend are going to Argentina for 2 weeks in November (6th-22nd). We have a couple of definite places we want to go to. Buenos Aires, Puerto Madryn, El Calafate, El Chalten. As we have little time we will probably fly between these places. Is it better to buy flights beforehand or would it be ok to buy them while we were there? Do you think they will be sold out?

We were thinking 2/3days in BA as we are flying in/out of there.

I am traveling to Bariloche in Feb then moving on to Saint Martin Des Les Andes
next year and can't decide how long to stay for in each place.Is four nights in Bericloche and three nights in San Martin too long or not enough ?

The itinerary looks as follows:

Arrive thursday 5/nov in BA and party untill morning on Monday 09/nov. Take direct flight to Ushuaia and arrive at 12:25.
Ushuaia from 09/11 till 12/11 where we take a flight around 16 to El Calafate.

Hello All - we have been dying to go to Argentina and are excited to finally be able to plan a trip Dec 25-Jan 1. We are a young couple in our early 30s and we love to travel and explore - we booked this trip even before the baby was born because we figured best time to travel was when he was sleeping all day anyway. I will preface this with saying I am a typical American tourist who doesn't get enough vacation time and I'm accustomed to seeing a lot in a short amount of time. Would anyone with experience in Argentina & Chile tell me if this itinerary seems a little too nuts ? I am trying to figure out what I might be able to cut out but every time I think of leaving one of these destinations out my heart just sinks. And the only other way to get in more time is to miss Christmas with my family.

Me and my wife will go in Patagonia (both in Argentina and in Chile) end December for a month.

we will land in Buenos Aires on the Xmas evening and we will fly back to Italy on the 22nd Jan. We are willing to see wildlife and landscapes travelling mainly with local transports (bus/ferries) and use flights just if really needed.

I'm going to be in Argentina from November till December, staying with a friend. I'm statying with her for one week, then I'd like to rent a motorbike for 1.5-2 weeks, then I'll stay one more week with her and fly out.

Do any of you have experience with renting a motorbike in Buenos Aires? I know there are many organized tours in the country, departing from Buenos Aires, among others, but those are a little above my budget. So I'd like to rent a bike, with gear, and just head out…

I bought a ticket to BsAs on my USA passport; I have dual citizenship and carry an European passport that's not subject to the entry fee....Can I keep the $$ if I show my European passport at my arrival? :)I know...a bit of a scrounger...
