Well, I’m in trouble. Yesterday I was very bussy, and even when I actually walked, I didn’t in any really interesting place, and there was nothing really interesting to picture (I got some pics of facades but I’ll put them in my blog, nothing to tell about, I just liked them).
So I’m in trouble, what can I tell you about today?
This is a cloudy day here, I think is the right time for stories,
So I’ll tell you the story of a hero: Chonino.
Do you remember K-9 movie? K-9 is a dogs police force. Chonino was a K-9 in Buenos Aires.
Chonino was born in April 4th of 1975. He pass successfully aptitude tests and became part of Policia Federal Argentina in 1977. He was trained to enter in action only if the holders or third parts were in danger.
The 2nd june of 1983 was a rainy night; Chonino and two policemen, Jorge Ianni and Luis Silbert, were in Villa Devoto. The policemen saw two suspects and ask for their ID. The men reactioned shooting against them. Chonino jumped to defend them, he attacked the criminals, but was shot and fell dead (one of the holders died a couple of months too). He had bitten the jacket of one of the criminals. The policemen that arrived in help found between his jaws a piece of fabric: the pocket of the jacket! And… in the pocket the criminal had his ID… this allowed that the criminals were found.
In 1991 the Policia Federal honoured Chonino naming a short street as Pasaje Chonino (the access to the Division Perros of Policia Federal, linking Casares Ave. with Salguero St., in Palermo woods area). In 1996 the 2nd June was declared Dog National Day. In 1998 the dog training path (or track, whatever) of the Division Perros was named “Chonino”. There is a bronze representing him. His body rests in the Circulo de la Policia Federal Argentina.
The pasaje is not specially interesting to walk by there, but the story is nice.
So, today this could be “knowing Buenos Aires” instead of “walking”,
anyway, enjoy your day

Thank you Vnrose!
I read in a different web site (I checked three for writting that) that the guide of the dog died a couple of days later, not a couple of months. Anyway, it was very sad.
I'll try to tell something happier next :-)
but you know, there are more sad stories than happy ones (because now I thought a possible next tip, and...it's sad! well, I'll use in some time in the future).
excuse my mispelling and other mistakes, I wrote it at job, and there's a lot to do today :-(
