Hi all,
I would like to ask some advice on best traveling options from Ushuaia to BA over a period of 2.5 weeks.
I have had a look on the forum and can't seem to find good info on this question yet.
My gf and I will be in Ushuaia from the middle of February and we have a return flight home from BA about 2.5 weeks later. I have looked into the overland options, and it looks like it would be a couple of days travel on a one-way bus, so I suppose taking several buses along the way would mean that we would be spending probably 4-5 days easily on buses.
To make the most of our time and given the large distances, and also given the other info I've found on the thorntree site, we think it would make most sense to get a flight for part of the journey. I am just wondering whether anyone has any experience with this, and what you think would make most sense.
We would for sure like to spend a few days in/around Tierra del Fuego, and also visit Bariloche/Calafate. Mendoza would be nice, but as it's quite far, might not be feasible. Beyond that, no definite plans, we're happy to 'wing it' a bit. However, given that it will probably be busy, maybe a good idea to already book a flight from now.
So, does anyone have an idea of what would be a good part of the trip to fly? There seem to be a LOT of flights from Bariloche to BA, and no flights from Ushuaia to Bariloche, so would it make sense to travel overland to Bariloche, and then fly to BA from there? Any other ideas?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Will
