How realistic is trekking at this time? I am mainly concerned with getting good transport and good access to the areas TDF, TDP, etc. I would also like to mix up camping with a few nights in a hostel. I have seen posts discussing June and October but not this time frame.

Juky/agust is the middle of the winter, There will be snow and ice. Getting up to the mountains will be difficult and you would need very good equipment. Wintercamoing is posible but in the valleys in Tierra del Fuego or up in the mountains, temperatures can drop well below - 15º C and there can be real snowstorms.
