Hi all,

I have made a decision to dust off my spanish once-and-for-all. I am open to going anywhere in LA for 3-5 months to do this. With that said though, there are some practical restrictions, specfically finances. Ideally, I want to do one-on-one because of my level with the language.

I have read other posts in the Argentina section of thorntree that recommend private teachers. I was wondering if you had info on ones in Argentina you recommend. On the other hand, if you had any other recommendation/advice that you can lend in my search, I would greatly appreciate it.
un saludo

Craigs List Buenos Aires

Under "services --> lessons", a number of private teachers advertise their services; however, it can be a roll-of-the-dice as to how good they are.

Good luck!

I recommend antigua guatemala for learing spanish, in CA. Have been to almost every country in latin america and by far this was the best place to learn. Cheap, efficient, variety of schools - and a great country to explore.

ill second that, did 7 weeks in Xela & San Pedro (slightly less touristy places than antigua) guatemala,
there you can find schools that offer private tuition, standard price with homestay with a guat family that will feed you & 25 hours tuition a week is only 100 buxpw, great country to study spanish

Hi,
I have studied Spanish at Verbum Spanish school (in Buenos Aires) for a month and I highly recommend them. My teacher was very good, the staff helpful and fees were affordable.
