Hello everybody,

I am planning to spend around 3 months in South America. Considering that I don't speak a word of Spanish, I want to spend most of the first 2 months in Buenos Aires, to immerse into the culture and especially learn the language. Therefore, I am currently looking for a language school and wanted to ask for opinions. Has anybody made any experience with Spanish schools in Buenos Aires? Through my research, I am especially interested in "Academia Buenos Aires" and "El Pasaje". Can anyone recommend or comment on these schools?

Thanks,
Toolli

I would suggest any of the following as great
- El Pasaje (small set up but intimate and great classes)
- Expanish (big school, less personal but very professional)
- Vamos (in palermo - small school -heard good things about them)

Hi,

I've been in Buenos Aires for the past two months, and have been learning spanish at a school called Elebaires. I'd definitely recommend it to other travellers as it's a great place to meet people and improve your Spanish! Everyone is so friendly and the teachers are really nice. It's a small school with small classes meaning the classes are personal and catered towards your needs!

I think the website is just elebaires.com. I hope this helps!

Hey

I just wanted to check in and see how you got on in Buenos Aires and with the Spanish School? I am planning on doing the same thing early next year and had come cross Expansish but wondered who you went with in the end? I will be travelling alone (female in my late 20's from London) and am looking for a school not only to learn Spanish but to help me meet people and settle in to the city. I'm thinking of doing 12 weeks language course in Buenos Aires and then potentially travelling South America but i'm nervous of going alone! Do you think it is likely I will meet like minded people who will be interested in exploring with me? I hope you've had a lovely tip so far!

Thanks,
Lucy
