Hi again all
I'm just fine tuning my itinerary -- I'm going to be in BA for about 2 full days (4 nights) and then onto El Calafate for 1 full day and 2 nights, and then Ushuaia for about 4 full days and 6 nights. After this I will be in Posadas for about a month so able to access Igassu etc, and possibly more of BA on my way back. My questions are:
- is that too long in Ushuaia given that I am not really a skier (but want to do the dog sledding) and it is going to be in July (ie. really really cold?)
- is 2 days (plus prob 3 or 4 more further down the track) enough for BA and to do it justice or do you recommend switching some days from Ushuaia ?
- did anyone do the dog sledding in Ushuaia and have any info? i've found one place but can't really see much info about it.
Thanks heaps for your help !

There are several places who offers dog sledding in Ushuaia but as far as I know one is definatly the best but I don´t remeber the name at this moment. July is the coldest month in Ushuaia but in Ushuaia itself it does not get so cold as you might imagine. Usually its just about some degress below 0 C, but if there is wind the feeling temperature can be much lower. In the valleys where you do the dog sledding and the other activities during winter it is very common to have -15º C in june/july with cleared skies but its definatly beautiful. About spending less time in ushuaia and more in Buenos Aires: The obvious thing is to say skip some days in ushuaia and add them to BA but everything depends what you want to do and what do you like. Apart from skiing and dog sledding there are a lot of other things to do in around Ushuaia even in winter.
Altos del Valle is the place. If you know spanish here is a link with a description of different places: Link and Altos del valle,
