Hi,
I'm planning a trip to Argentina/Chile for 3 weeks in October and wanted to stay in the Lake District near Bariloche for 3 or 4 days. Can anyone recommend a town/spot less crowded and commercial than Bariloche? Any suggestions and opinions would be most helpful!

San Martin de los Andes is nice, smaller, but not less touristic. But is another option. Villa La Angostura is the same case. These are smaller towns but they do are very touristic places.

I liked San Martin as it has a very nice setting, but can be more upscale as for prices. Lots of persons also reccommend El Bolson to the south.
