Hi, my sister is coming to meet me in Buenos Aires next week. I've never been there, and she doesn't speak any Spanish. I want to be able to tell her she can get on X bus and it will drop her at Y where I can meet her (preferably someplace in or near the center). Is the Manuel Tienda León bus the best option for her? She is only coming for a couple weeks and won't have much luggage. Where does that bus drop her exactly, and how can I get to that spot via bus or metro? Or what is a better option? Thanks for your help!

if in the "radio" the manuel tienda leon can drop you at your very front door
you just go to the tienda leon terminal in retiro and from there they put you in some other transport and live you at your place

happy travels : )

Ezeiza International Airport to downtown and changing money at the airport.

Shuttle services run every 30 minutes from 06:00 to 21:00 hours. Their fare from the airport up to their terminal is 8.40 US$. They take you up to your hotel in the microcenter for 1.00 US$ more. Black and yellow taxis which belong to the Buenos Aires Capital charge 18.00 US$. Blue and white taxis which belong to the Ezeiza Municipality charge 20.00 US$. Livery cars charge 24.00 US$. Local regular 86 bus´fare is 0.45 US$. There are neither train nor subway services.

Shuttle services also run at the following times: 21:45 - 22:30 - 23:15 - 00:00 - 01:15 - 02:15. There is another service at 03:30 depending on demand.

There is a Banco de la Nacion in both terminals of Ezeiza International Airport so if one is closed you can walk to the other one in the other terminal. Banco de la Nacion gives a good rate for US$ cash but charges about 3 percent commission on US$ Travelers Checks. The Banco de la Nacion located at the international terminal is open around the clock. A company called "Global Exchange" in the Arrivals Hall of the airport gives a bad rate of exchange.

If she takes the 86 bus you can meet her at Plaza de Mayo. The exact place could be the Cabildo.

i would say tienda is the best option. i had my aunt meet me at my nearest subway stop once and it was fine...but jesus, did i worry!!

tell her to take tienda leon. call ahead and see what you need to do to get them to deliver your sister. if not just go to their terminal in the southern corner across the street, just behind the sheraton, from retiro. easy peasy.
