G'day All

Has anyone heard much about this train trip? Anyone taken it? Any info on sites etc would be appreciated.

This is a portion of the route of the "Old Patagonia Express", a unique old
narrow gauge steam train now run primarily for its tourism value. It is still
listed as an operational train, you can read about it in this link from its operators:

Old Patagonia Express (in English)

The timetable, days and times it runs, can be found here:

Timetable (in English)

Note that there is an email address you could use to find out if it will be running
on the dates you find most interesting.

I have not personally ridden on this train. It is on my short list of things to do on
a trip to Argentina - Bariloche, a little to the north, is also of great interest. This
train has appeared in several movies (including the general South American movie
covering many trains), so you can see what it is like.

Its definatly worth to take it. El Bolson, near El Maiten is a great place to stay for a while.
