Dear Travellers,
I would like to do a MiniTrekking to the glacier in El Calafate with Hielo y Aventura. I’m wondering whether it will be feasible to do the trek and still catch a plane at 7PM from the airport?
Do you think its possible?
Thank you!

Yes, if you do the early one.

Hi, I have done this trekking - after lunch and got back around 7pm to El Calafate.
If you do the short trekking option (1 h on the ice), it won't take you more than 3 hours in total.
You will be left by the bus to a small harbor and immediately taken to the other side of the glacier to make the trekking. It is great!
However, I am not sure how much time would be left to see the glacier in front (from the footbridges)and that is breathtaking so try not to miss it.

Thank you mendocinateacher2 and TripsAnthology.

One follow up question. Which company did you use for your trekkings? I was able to find only Hielo y Aventura but they say that the trekking lasts ca. 10 hours in total (including the return to El Calafate).

Thank you

I went with them as well, very professional guys.
The 10 hours must be because they leave you time for lunch and for the footbridges. I think it is best if you write them and ask if you could eventually take an earlier bus back to El Calafate.
