Does anyone know of how to book the direct busses that take you direct from Torres Del Paine (I think from Amarga Laguna) to El Calafate so we skip going to Puerto Natales?

I know of alwaysglacier but are they really the only game in town? Does their bus run every day? does anyone know the cost? duration?

Thank you very much!

Always Glaciers, Southroad plus a couple of others but it is a private transfer and costs accordingly. Someone mentioned US$155 per person, someone else said more. Time depends on how busy the border is but around 5-6 hours. They leave from the Laguna Amarga entrance. In summer they will run every day because they have people using them every day. It is not a scheduled service.

Phew, after much time spent on this question - I can confirm that there is no info on Always Glaciers' pricing for this bus trip, only their telephone number on the web; however 'Southroad Patagonia Extreme' do provide some 'transfers' amongst their other tours. Current info of transfers all over the place and this trip are included in the doc from the link below. The cost is stated at $80 one way: Tdp (park entrance at Laguna Ararmga) to El Calafate. It states they go 'daily to 16.30pm'.

hope this helps and saves you the time it took me!
