I´m going to Buenos Aires in January, and I have come to the conclusion that it´s very hot, and the best place to spend time is on the beach. if going to beach from buenos aires with no particular preference i would head to uruguay, there are about the same distance and i do find them nicer
not for a day trip, have to stay there
