I am in Mendoza ( Nov. 4 ) and going to Bariloche on Nov. 7th. I need to be in Ushuiai (cruise to Antartica) by Nov. 26 or 27th. I would like to go to El Calafate and possible back to Chile and cross back to Argentina to Ushuiai . Any suggestions would be appreciated . I realized there will be some long bus rides. Thanks Cons

A few years ago i took a 4x4 bus going from Bariloche to Perito Moreno town (+/- 15h) and 15h (+ /- ) to Calafate. It goes on Route 40 long gravel roads, it 's time, but you are travelling on that expecatucular highway.

At night you can watch a breathtaking starry sky, take a "mate" with the driver, stopping to say hello when you cross another vehicles and feel like scales every slope and every interminble straight in the middle of nowhere. 100% recommendable

@jaimens -> how much did you pay that day? Cause when I add these costs at the website you provided it gives me an exorbitant price!

Thank You. Great advice and I love to go that way but I just might have to go straight down Rt. 40. I can't are a chance of missing the Antartica cruise. Always leave something for the next time.
