Myself and my family have 7 nights in Patagonia in June... Was thinking of the following.
Day 1 - Arrive into El Calafate late afternoon.
Day 2 - Perito Moreno Glacier
Day 3 - Boat trip - Lago Argentino
Day 4 - Travel to Puerto Natales
Day 5 - Torres del Paine
Day 6 - Torres del Paine
Day 7 - Travel back to El Calafate
Day 8 - Leave Patagonia :-(
Other consideration was to skip Puerto Natales and fly to Ushuaia instead??? Such a short time and so much to see!!!
Things to consider here include, young kids / weather/cold / road access etc - If possible, short (guided?) tour with opportunities to photograph jaw-dropping scenery. (Can't travel any other time of the year)...
Any other ideas or suggestions most welcome... Many thanks.

Check that your Lago Argentino boat trip is still running. If you are thinking of the Estancia Cristina trip, I believe the Estancia has already closed for the winter. The 7 glaciers one (or whatever it is called) may be running though.
2 days in Calafate are fine. June is a good month to take pictures you don´t have much daylight, its cold and all the way to TDP is a long way for just 2 days at this time of the year. Ushuaia has the advantage that there are more options just around town. I don´t know what you can do in El Chalten in june, because thsi would be the best option.

I would doubt you can do much in El Chalten in June. I was there in April and accommodation, shops and places to eat were already closing for the winter. There really were not many people around and it felt a bit sad and deserted. Not really a place for kids. Quite a lot of the people who live there work seasonally and head off to see family in BA / other regions during the winter.
Of course the walks will still be there but during our 3 days we did not see Fitzroy or Cerro Torre because of cloud cover (that just depends on luck, of course). Most of the glacier treks and boat excursions on Lago Viedma had stopped. The guys offering the horse riding seemed reluctant to take on customers too. I would not recommend it.
Sorry to come up with negatives only! I agree with #2 re TDP. I have not been to Ushuaia but maybe this is worth researching more as a better option. Or further north to Bariloche?

Am now spending 2 full days in El Calafate and 3 full days in Ushuaia...
Day 1 - Arrive El Calafate
Day 2 - Perito Moreno Glacier
Day 3 - Boat trip ???
Day 4 - Travel to Ushuaia
Day 5 - Ushuaia
Day 6 - Ushuaia
Day 7 - Ushuaia
Day 8 - Depart Ushuaia.
With reference to Ushuaia... Is it easy enough to organise a dog sledding trip & a boat trip in the Beagle Channel when we arrive?... I guess we'd want to make full days of both, especially the boat trip... Any suggestions?
In the 3 full days and 2 half days, what else would you recommend?
Many thanks for your input...
