Ive searched but can't find current information on getting from Zipoloite to Tuxtla. Fairly sure we will need to go to Pochulta first, where we might catch a bus or hire a driver. ANY input would be most welcome. Muchas gracias

My boyfriend and I are planning to travel to Laguna Miramar next month (January 2018). I've looked quite a bit into it so I'm clear about the arrangements I should make except one... everywhere seems to just recommend asking for accommodation on arrival when in Emiliano Zapata. Can someone let me know whether that's the case? I'm just a bit nervous about travelling all this way without pre-booked accommodation but if that's what everyone does then I'll go for it!

I am currently planning a trip to explore the south of Mexico for about 5 weeks starting in January. The plan is to either fly to Oaxaca, or Tuxtla Gutierrez, then to travel to Cancun for my flight home. I am undecided if I should take a slower pace and fly to Tuxtla, skipping the region of Oaxaca. Or if it would be foolish to skip the Oaxaca area?

Hello !!! My plan is to backpack through Mexico and some of the Central American countries for about month.So I have booked my flight to Mexico city (round trip).My flight lands in Mexico city then I am going south through Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua and way back to Mexico city to catch my fligh . Is there gonna be a problem to enter then exit and enter again Mexico by land ? Maybe problem with FMM card?

After leaving the yurts and (Spa) Buena Vista, we drove to La Paz. We found La Paz an easy city to drive in, unlike Merida last year. We were staying on the Malecon and drove right there with no problems. We stayed 6 nights, the first was at La Perla, a 1940 hotel with a pool and good outdoor space, rooms are plain but very clean. There is a charming restaurant on the bottom floor with so-so food but great views of the Malecon.

I'm trying to figure out which cenotes are best to visit with our three children ages 2, 4, and 5. The older two can swim but I'm not comfortable with them in deep water. I'm looking for cenotes that are easily accessible without ladders and preferably have some shallow/wading areas. We will be all over the Yucatan from Cancun to Tulum to Valladolid to Merida. I want to travel to Mexico the first 10 days of January. I used to live there but had to leave because I was always getting terribly sick (typhoid several times, for instance). I am not up to date on what sanitation/water efforts have been made recently and where I might have the best chance of not getting sick. (My first choice would be the state of Veracruz.) I know there have been efforts to improve the water situation in some areas. Anyone know more details? Much thanks.
