Anyone savvy on how to get to Lachatao if I took a bus from Oaxaca? I'd like to say I could hike the distance from Benito Just with my pack... But, well.
Id like to get a Cabana based in Lachatao then hike and explore from there.
I've not heard back from Lachatao Exp as of yet but my wifi has been sketchy at times

Ideas welcome.
Gracias

Hello,
we (50 years old) need help for our route planning.
At the end of Oct/Nov we would like to travel by public bus to Yucatan / Chiapas. Unfortunately, we do not really know how long we should stay at the respective stops / places to see all the highlights!
How should we plan our free days at best?
Did we forget something or is it too much for 3 weeks?
Should we visit Hollbox for 2 days instead of Isla Mujeres?

  1. Arrival Cancun 9.40pm / Stay Cancun
  2. Day trip to Isla Mujeres / Stay Cancun

I haven't arrived in Mexico City on an international flight and then immediately connected to an onward domestic flight in some time. For my recent visit I just flew into Mexico City and traveled by bus to a destination outside the city when moving outside the area.

In a current discussion elsewhere on the web a traveler posted that he arrived in Mexico City today, en route to his final destination, and after clearing Immigration he waited at the baggage conveyor belt for his luggage to claim…

As a traveler, I hate to ask this question, but I am doing it for a friend. She informed me today that she and her 92 y.o. mother, brother and his family are spending 3 weeks at a resort (timeshare) in Acapulco. Originally, I did not ask why, as it has never appealed to me and I have read the reports of crime of the past years. She just sent an updated email telling me that their travel agent suggested they do not go there because of the crime saying their are armed police on the beaches and the…

I was wondering if there is a bus directly from VER to Xalapa. Someone posted a page that says there is an ADO bus stop next to Veracruz airport that goes directly to Xalapa, but I couldn't find that route on ADO´s website. Does anyone know?

Is it reasonable to drive from Tulum to Mérida via some of the ancient sites, spend a couple of nights in Mérida, then drive on to Cancun? Any suggested itineraries would be appreciated.

After having driven this route a couple dozen times, I hate to see this stuff. You wonder if towing another vehicle made them a bigger target.

I just bought tickets for my family and am now worried I am nuts to still be traveling there after these earthquakes and aftershocks. I have 24 hours to cancel for free. Any locals or travelers have some insight or news for that area?

Thanks!
