April 9th.. Monday morning.. Here we are in second week of Semana Santa holiday.. I just came back from a trip downtown for a haircut in the mercado (25 pesos) Pedestrian and auto traffic on the Bulivard and along the beach are returning to a more normal, pre Semana Santa levels.. Last week Veracruz and Boca del Rio hotels, restaurants, beaches were extra crowded with many out of town visitors.. A norte blew in Friday, but barely put dent in crowd at beach who were enjoying their vacation regardless of the weather!! I guess I have mixed feelings about the holidays.. I like to see them come, but I'm even happier to see them go.... After a busy week of "vacationing" I expect many of the visitors are happy to be getting back home as well..
