What are the easiest, less expensive, most efficient (yes, I know these criteria are mutually exclusive) way to get from Puerto Vallarta aeropuerto to south of the river? thanks so much, Jeorge

Only place I've been with a city bus right at the gate. Not the easiest if you have a bunch of luggage,but couldn't be more convenient or economical.

Luggage is the problem with the bus, airport taxi - most efficient - about 220 pesos, city taxi from across the road - about 200 pesos, bus 5 pesos.

it is less than fifty cents to take the bus but extremely difficult if you have a lot of bags.....it can be done though.....the taxi drivers charge double to go from the airport into town as the other way around. I can go from a hotel to the airport for eight dollars. it costs over twenty to go the same distance from the airport to the hotel. the taxi drivers dont negotiate at the airport either. but if you cross the rode, take that over pass to the other side, you can sometimes negotiate with those taxi drivers. the taxi drivers around the airport take the tourists for a ride in more ways than one.
