Hola. I was paying $323.00 a month in Antigua Gt. Past winter for neat clean safe apartemento w wi fi ,small kitchen in el centro. One of my friends was paying. $225 for his place, he has moved to San Cristobal Chiapis Mx , much cheaper he says and comida Es mas mejor!
Did you photograph it and can maybe show it to rest of us.?
Here's the address from Google Maps: Inalambrica, Las Playas, 39390 Acapulco, Gro. Mexico. There's a little museum icon on the map, you can click it to see some photographs. It took me about ten minutes to walk up the hill from the plaza near the cliff divers, I found it with the help of a local who provided helpful directions.

Good to know would love to see this lost work of Diego.Rivera. My parents took me to see a lot of his works when we lived in the DF. they were very taken with him not so much the wife. Of course at age 15 I wasn't into it at all and just wanted to return to usa.

I guess I'm used to seeing "apartemento" in the small town where I spend the winter, maybe more oriented toward the snowbirds, but then again the Nationals there also call a unit with cooking facilities "Bungalo". (in writing)
I seem to remember some radio towers on the hill, so maybe that's where the name "Inalambrica" comes from. The neighbourhood is relatively affluent with good views.
It' not a "lost work". Poorly maintained, yes. It's been featured in most guidebooks I've seen and is situated hillside above Playa Manzanillo.
A national park borders ACA on two sides, there is the Palma Sola Archaeological site, Fort San Diego, it's obviously an area where Afro-Mestizo Mexico blends with other indigenous groups, there is a regionally prominent market scene, an abundance of beautiful and swimmable beaches and ... it's been surprising to me how inexpensive food and housing/hotels can be given the long list of plusses.
But, yes ... someone lacking prior experience there will or should pay attention to current events and crime. Many parts of Mexico are impacted by the drug war ... Mazatlsn and Acapulco included. There have also been concerns expressed about Zihuatenajo.
