What is a reasonable price range for a 2 or 3 day tour to Tikal from Palenque? I understand such tours either go through El Ceibo or Frontera Corozal, and spend one or two nights in Flores. Want to make sure I don't get ripped off. Thanks.

Well, it's about eight hrs by road each way, so I guess it'll be a three day tour unless you travel in the dark. Estimate 800 MXN each way for transport, plus 300 MXN (min) each night for accommodation, plus meals and entrance fees (which might be your responsibility anyway).
Add cost (if any) to enter, and exit Guatemala. And 500 MXN for another Mexican FMM.

A few days ago I took the minibus from Palenque to Tikal.At the border you had to change the bus. Departure was at 9am arrival 4pm.
The price was 600 pesos. Could you book anywhere!
