Some of the following may already have been posted and/or commented on, I'm not certain - so here goes once again:

I stopped at ADO's (and ticketbus.com's) ticket office in Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City yesterday and picked-up/saw some fliers promoting various "new" transportation services of the company:

- ADO is once again operating limited shuttle bus service from the airport to TAPO (the city's eastern bus terminal) and 10 hotels/pick-up points. The service from the airport to the hotels and TAPO starts at 7:45 and concludes at 13:15. The cost is listed as MX$60. Service from the hotels and TAPO starts at 5:30 and concludes at 8:30 (presumably 8:30 a.m.). The cost is listed (fromn TAPO to the hotels) as MX$40 - with no mention of an additional cost to the airport). There's no mention of afternoon/evening shuttle service, which strikes me as odd. There's also no mention of where one finds the shuttle at the airport, but I'm assuming it's at the same location where you get the busses to Queretaro, etc. Drop-off/pick-up points served by the shuttle: Hotels Mayaland, Cornito, Casa Blanca, Sevilla Palace, U.S. Embassy (Sheraton Maria Isabel?), Del Angel, NH Mexico City, Century, Fiesta Americana Reforma, Imperial.

- ADO serves both Puebla bus terminals: 9 departures for Terminal 4 Poniente and 4 for CAPU; there are a similar number of departures from Puebla for the airport in Mexico City.

- Transportes del Norte is providing "nuevo servicio internacional" from Mexico City's Terminal Norte to McAllen and Laredo, Texas - first class and "ejecutivo".

- And as we've discussed recently, ADO is offering "GL" service from the Mexico City airport to: Xalapa, Verarcuz and Oaxaca with the following schedules: Oaxaca (to: 12:00; from: 22:30); Veracruz (to: 16:00; from: 00:30) and Xalapa (to: 18:30; from: 01:00).

The improvements to the airport continue, in a positive direction - if you've been in the building before, but not for 3/4 years, you won't recognize it (how nice it is).

American Airline employees were asking for and making notations on FMT's, before people got into line to check-in downstairs the FMT's were then stapled to the portion of the boarding pass kept by the airline (by the counter agent). American Airlines is not inspecting checked (or carry-on) luggage in the ticketing area as it did for several years; it did, however, check all carry-on bags at the departure gate. The airport security did xray/scan all carry-on, too.

Good news all around. Lets hope ADO sees some success and expands all these services as they are all very useful. I have long thought these companies can make very good money by running more services from the airport, but to make it more efficient use smaller shuttle sized buses.
