Someone I was friendly with owned a successful Italian restaurant on the plaza principal in Acapulco ... he was an Acapulqueño by birth, but lived much of his life (and worked at a pizzeria) in Brooklyn, NY before returning in retirement to Acapulco. On Halloween each year he baked extra pizzas and gave slices to gleeful children of the Centro neighborhood of Acapuldo ... without charge. He was happier than the kids, to whom he gave the slices. So, no apples ... there!
