Sure if you provide more details as to where in Mexico are you landing into from Europe or are you landing in the USA and travelling into Mexico by bus? If you're landing into the USA do you plan visiting places around the American southwest? Of all the countries why Mexico? What do you hope to do or see while in Mexico? How about Central America like Guatemala or Belize?
In the meantime you can look in da book to see/marvel at the scale of Mexico and familiarize yourself with the countryk, it culture, geography, et.
It is quite likely that some of the more easy going here will try to save you the price of the guide book you need, but it won't be me.

Hi Maria. There are many wonderful places in Mexico to spend two weeks. One city I would recommend is Zacatecas. The people are very friendly. There is a guest house there called Hostal Villa Colonial that would be a good place to stay. The people who run it are very helpful and can assist you in experiencing the culture. You can get there by plane or bus from Mexico City. Queretero is a city between Zacatecas and Mexico City. It is another good place to stay some days. I think you could have a very good trip visiting those two cities plus Mexico City.
Buen viaje!

Hi Maria ,
I'm Greek too and i visited Mexico a few months ago.. Mexico is about 10 times bigger than Greece and nobody can tell you where to go...you must get a guide book , read , pick an area that interests you and then come back here with more specific question.
If you want to contact me , i'll be happy to help you.

Hi. I am planning to go to the Mediterranean. Maybe you could tell me where to visit. But wait, maybe I should research it first.
Is the Wine Dark Sea made only from red grapes? Is there a elevator to the Acropolis? Will any one speak to me in Delphi ??? carracar

I bet the OP isn't LO. Greece12, please understand that folks on this forum get sort of tired/worn out answering questions that are so broad it's hard to answer them. If you want beach, then that's one kind of Mexican experience and expect hot/humid weather, and even here you have many choices....such as Cancun and surrounds or the Pacific side, such as Puerto Vallarta or Puerto Escondido and many others. If you like mountains, cooler air, then head to the middle of Mexico, to places such as Queretaro, Morelia, Oaxaca. And on and on. Towns near the USA border are probably not for you. You will find much diversity in Mexico, not only in terrain and weather but in prices. Are you on a low budget?
