I have been to different parts of the Pacific coast in April and May, and the whole area outside the tourist spots are dreary and depressing unless you have air conditioning.

April and May are the hotest in San Miguel de Allende. This year has been better than some but the dust untill our recent thunderstorm is really terrible.
The rains will hopefully begin sometime in June and the nice weather will resume.
