I saw another question of yours.. Dont worry about how much u'll spend on public transport. In Mexico City, it's subsidized. Even taxis are cheaper than in other Mexican cities. U might end up spending more money on food and nighlife.

i also wouldnt worry about paying off the police unless of course you are planning on doing something illegal and have to bribe one that is.

i am thinking that is the big red double decker one? if so, it leaves from the zocalo area (on the side of the cathedral nearest cinco de mayo) all day and i think i heard they run every 30 minutes if i am not mistaken? anyway talked to another tourist while she was in line about it, think the cost is around 10 dollars (? again not for sure) you just show up pretty much get in line and wait for next bus is how i understood it to work...

I am going to draw out a plan on how i should be visiting Mexico City tonight. munecabrava, can you or other posters here, review it for me tonight or tomorrow morning? As I am leaving on Saturaday, i have such a short time planning this... So i want to make sure i am not going to miss the best part of the city!!!

The bus goes along Paseo de la Reforma; to visualise the route, you need to click on "Puntos de Interes", you need to choose one (e.g. Reforma-Insurgentes), then the map will display the area, you can zoom in by clicking on "Ver detalle del sitio", a red circle on the corner of the map. You dont need to go to the zocalo to take the Turibus. The Turibus has many stops, I´m sure that there will be one close to your hotel.
