Is this another one of those self-congratulatory threads where the real "expats" and "travelers" can look down their noses at the lowly "tourists"? I never could understand that urge. I mean I love Mexico, I speak Spanish, my girlfriend is Mexican, and I'll hopefully wind up living there ... but I remain unoffended by Cancun or innocent gaffes by the weekend charter crowds.

This must mean I'm a terrible poseur.

Not that it matters, but Altahabana lives in Nuevo Laredo. Not the real Mexico but that ticket is worth the price of admission. He also takes pro bono appointments through a charitable organization that provides legal representation for Mexican nationals facing deportation proceedings.

I still don't understand the point you are trying to make. Is it food related??

A nice addition to the park, for the Canadian visitors, would be a little jail, some pretend assassins, and a few restaurants where tipping is discouraged. Sorry, I couldn't help that one! ;-)
