Are Jalpan/Sierra Gorda fairly safe?

Regarding the Mission Bucareli, I wonder if you got off the buss at the turn off from Highway 120 (described in the linked info) and called this posada (not sure of cell coverage in the area, might want to contact beforehand - see contact info on the linked website), if they would come pick you up. Even if they charged you, it might be less than hiring a private taxi for the round trip from Pinal de Amoles. You would need to make sure of getting back to at least the highway though. Within the last month (when I was in the area), there were busses all day long at least every 30 minutes on this route, in both directions.
