My family is traveling in the region in December. We have interest in Punta Perala, a friend grew up nearby. Is there any current info about it? There are a few places to stay, but what about restaurants, tours, services. I cant find anything online.
Do you mean Punta Perula, Jalisco? Google Maps shows some accommodation, restaurants and other services. Tomzap doesn't mention it. And I haven't been there, so it's definitely off the beaten path.
If you do mean Punta Perula in Jalisco, Punta Perla in Sonora or somewhere else? I cannot find a Punta Perala anywhere in Mexico.

Punta Perula, Jalisco has some basic accommodation, a few eateries (none to get overly excited about). If you are self catering it has some family run tiendas with limited provisions and the usual fruit and veggies. It is a one street town with a good beach. There are a number of sno-birds who hunker down there for the winter. All in all it is a very quiet dusty little town not without a smidgen of character. It is only a couple of kilometers off Highway 200. It suffered some hurricane damage a few years ago but should be back together by now. Buena suerte, Jaime
