Guatemala, Mar 10 (Prensa Latina) Cuba leads the Central American and Caribbean Shooting Tournament at the Victor Manuel Castellanos firing range in this capital with two gold and two silver medals.
Cubans Evelin Rios (756.5 points) and Laina Perez (754.9) were the one-two at women's pistol while Guatemalan Roxana Cruz (750.9) was third.
In men's rifle local Gustavo Flores (680.0) won the gold medal while Cuban Reinier Estupinan (679.4) got the solver.
In women's rifle, Cuban Eglys Cruz (499.2) was leader and gold medalist as Salvadoran Veronica Rivas (488.4) and Guatemalan Maria Lourdes Guerra (477.7) were second and third runner up.
The tournament closes Sunday and is considered a key phase in the team readiness for the 2007 Pan-American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
