Cumanayagua and Las Palmas HostalCountry forums / Cuba / Cuba
My brother and I have been traveling to Cuba for many years, and for the past 6 or 7, we've settled into Conchita's place in Cumanayagua. She has a 3 room government sanctioned hostal. One is located with outside stair access above her home and the other 2 (soon to be 3) are located in a former garage. These are the rooms where we stay. I have been trying to attach photos of my room but haven't figured out how to do so for this forum (if some one knows how, please let me know). I will be glad to answer any questions. For around $50/night, its a great place to stay, and by now we are family, so I can't imagine being anywhere else. We find this location ideal for us. We fly into Santa Clara, rent a car, drive through Manicaragua to pick up my nephew, stopover in La Mosa to visit friends, and then head to Conchita's. The rooms are clean, she serves a hearty breakfast, and you're within 30 minute of some beautiful beaches, and hr from Cienfuegos and its great architecture of the old palicios.

50/night for one room. Are you insane. I could understand that price if there was an in ground pool and the house was in Miramar, Havana with satellite TV in the room. It would probably cost you more but I'm trying to make a point. I'm sure i have misunderstood so, please, clarify. | 5
Sorry- it's for both rooms. | 6
For both rooms, that's reasonable, and normal. Sounds like a nice place. | 7
