I'll be in Vinales for 1,5 day ( 2 nights). Could you let me know please for the most important sights which I should visit or tours I should do ? Furthermore, is there any place which produce and sell original cigars and how much approximately? Furthermore, I have seen that a tour costs approximately 45cuc pp. Should I book the tours in advance? Is it better to book a tour when I go there for a better price? Have you any recommendations for a tour guide ?

Thanks in advance!

Good morning travellers.

I'll be three days in La Habana, and one of these days we'll go to visit the Castillo de San Carlos de la Cabaña and we will watch the cañonazo at 2100pm.

Then, to come back to Old Habana we want cross "La Bahia" in "La Lanchita de Casablanca", if it would be possible to do at this hour.

Has anybody used it? How much cost? Do you know the hours of departure from the terminal?

If it is not possible, what it is the best solution?

Thanks a lot!

Heading back to Cuba in a few weeks and will spend a few days in Vinales. Want to go to Cayo Jutias as well. Does anyone know if there is diving at at the cayo? Will pack my gear if so, but Maria de la Gorda seems a bit too far. Also any casa recommendations for Cayo Jutias?

Hi,

This is a topic that seems to come up a lot with very little in the way of definitive answers - hoping someone out there has some. Thanks

We are currently in Central America (Guatemala) and will be flying to Cuba (Havana) in a week or so. We are a New Zealand and UK citizens.

As we understand it we will need tourist cards for Cuba prior to boarding our flights. We are flying from Guatemala City with avianca air (via Costa Rica). Having read a lot of posts it seems typical that the airline…

Last week acquaintances of mine were booted from their hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars per night suites at the Saratoga in Havana because King Mohammed VI from Morocco was vacationing with his family.

Punchline: They were initially offered relocation to the Hotel Vedado.

Double Punchline: Their rooms at the Saratoga have not yet been refunded.

Love that country and the endless belly laughs!

Cheers,
Terry

I have read the FAQs regarding requirements/process for Americans traveling to Cuba, but I have a question for all of you. Is anyone worried with the current political climate around immigration that the enforcement of these rules could suddenly change?

My husband is a dual American/German citizen, and a I am Canadian/US Permanent resident.

We are traveling to Cuba towards the end of July but will only have 5 days. I have done a ton of research and have a general idea of what we will do(mostly walk around and explore). But I would love to get any suggestions, tips, etc.

We are trying to keep the trip as inexpensive as possible.

Hello, I am going to cuba in May (14 days). I wan't to spend about 3 days in one of the cayos (coco, guilhermo, levisa, ...) but I don't want to stay in a hotel or resort.
Does any one know if it is possible to stay in family houses or other cheap acomodation in theese places.
- It could be another beach place that you recommend (I wan't a place to be in contact with nature, don't care about restaurants or bars)

Hi there,
I am planning my first trip to Cuba and I got in touch with the bbvinales booking website for a couple of casas.
Is it a reliable site? They haven't asked me for money or anything like that, just checking if I can trust them to handle the booking safely.
Thanks
Silvia
