Can someone recommend a tour company, preferable one that you have used yourself, for a one day trip to Viniales from Havana. I'd like to go as part of a group tour to cut costs. I have found a number of companies online who are offering private tours, which work out too pricey as it's just myself going. Hurricane Irma is predicted to hit eastern Cuba next Friday(Sept 9). The cyclone is east of the Lesser Antilles heading west with 120mph winds. It should hit central Cuba on Saturday and western Cuba on Sunday with heavy rain. Cuba has the best hurricane preparations in the western hemisphere, but you don't want to be there if you don't have to be.

We've booked Varedero for 3 nights, wouldn't be my choice but never mind. Firstly, is there anything you can do here that isn't cheesy tourist stuff?
We're then in Havana for 3 nights..Can't wait. Does anyone have any particularly amazing things to see here? Hidden fabulous stuff?

It looks like Trump has made it super difficult to travel to Cuba via the USA.
Is it possible to fly from USA to Canada and then onto Cuba? If so then would I have to stay in Canada for a night or could I travel straight onto Cuba?
WOW. For all these years I believed only Canadians were entitled to special handling from Cuba. Now we find out Russians get special treatment also. One has to wonder if there are other countries with unique Cuban tourism rules.
