We are going to Cuba (Havana, Trinidad, Santa Marta, Cienfuegos) and a couple of us will not be bringing clothes, instead buying them as we go and then giving them back or to those in need. Any suggestions on locally made clothing stores where this can be done in those cities? Please don't respond with "you can find clothes on any corner in Havana" I'm looking for specific suggestions. Thank you.

You've never been to Cuba, right?
Honestly, your plan makes no sense. Clothes are generally expensive, poor quality and hard to find in some areas. Shopping generally sucks in Cuba and wasting your time on a completely unnecessary endeavour while on vacation is, quite frankly, silly.
Be a normal tourist.
Cheers,
Terry

There's a United Colors of Benneton store on Plaza Vieja in Havana. LOL
Paul and Shark, Calle Muralla #105, e/ San Ignacio y Mercaderes
There was one clothing store I remember seeing on Obispo, but can't remember what block, and plenty of tourist T-shirts sold on that street.
iirc clothing stores on Avenida 3 e/ Calle 80 y 84, Playa
As Terry says. To add:
Most of the clothing stores in Cuba are either boutique style placing selling expensive imported clothes or cheaper places selling poor quality imports (made in China).
Many Cubans make a business of travelling to other countries, buying clothes to resell in Cuba (privately) because of the poor quality in the stores.
If you do want to see what is available, go to Harris Brothers in Havana Vieja, say.
For clothes try, Galería Comercial Comodoro, Avenida 3 between Calles 80 and 84, Playa ([tel 7/204-6177), which houses Mango, Adidas, Converse, Benetton, and Clarks stores, or Paul and Shark, Muralla between Mercaderes and San Ignacio, Plaza Vieja, La Habana Vieja.

Most Cubans would like fashionable ,modern current clothing styles, most of those currently come from Mexico and are part of black market sales or sold in stores frequented by Cubans and not tourists.I'm sure they'll be gracious and accept whatever you give them and if they don't like it will sell it or give it away.

Hey Terry, if you don't have anything to add why don't you shut the hell up and don't reply. This forum isn't for intolerant, selfish people like you.
I've been to 154 countries including Cuba. We do trips to help people, not insult them on a forum over the Internet. Simply donating old clothes to poorer people in developing countries while having good intentions puts the clothing stores and tailors out of business as the donated clothes are free. Thus we buy from local clothing stores (thus not putting them out of business), wear the clothes and then either give them back to the original biz of to a person in need thus closing the loop at the end of the trip, which is not a vacation.
Your too stupid to understand this, right?
